Maria Isabel Rodriguez

La Villa- Maria Isabel Rodriguez, 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2022 at her residence in La Villa, Texas.

She was born on May 28, 1943 to Mr. Benito Arias and Mrs. Herminia Tamez in Mercedes, Texas.

Mrs. Rodriguez is preceded in death by her parents; Mr. Benito Arias and Mrs. Herminia Tamez; her husband, Jesus Rodriguez; her son, Ruben Rodriguez; her great-grandson, Augustus John Castillo.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Jesus Rodriguez Jr., Armando Rodriguez; her daughters, Melinda Arias, Regina Rodriguez, Rosie (Roy) Gutierrez, Elida (Robert) Rodriguez, Minnie (Mike) Granado, Irene Rodriguez, Olga (Eloy) Villarreal, Norma Rodriguez; 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Maria Isabel Rodriguez is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary both nights at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa, Texas. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
