Maria Martinez

Brownsville - Maria de Jesus Martinez, 82, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at her residence.

Ms. Martinez was born June 20, 1941 in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, daughter of Fidel Martinez and Maria Apolinar Barrera.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Victor Manuel Martinez, Jose Martinez, Maria Soto and Beulah Mendez; her brother Mario Martinez and her sisters, Martha Izeta and Maria Guadalupe Gomez. Also surviving her are 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
