Brownsville - Maria Olga Alvardo Martinez, 74, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Valley Regional Medical Center

Mrs. Alvarado Martinez was born August 14, 1949 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, daughter of Teodoro Martinez Cardiel and Paula Ferrell de Martinez. She is preceded in death by her father; her sisters, Maria Jesus Martinez Ferrell and Carmen Martinez Ferrell.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Gregorio Alvarado Aguilar; her children, Claudio Alvarado (Raquel Erika), Gregorio Feliciano Alvarado (Cristela)Mauricio Fabiano Alvardo (Antonieta); mother, Paula Ferrel de Martinez; brothers, Teodor Sergio Martinez Ferrell, Arnoldo Martinez Ferrel,l, Cosme Martinez Ferrell, Luis Gerardo Martinez Ferrell; sisters, Hilda Magdalena Juarez Martinez, Sulma del Carmen Martinez de Carrasco. Also surviving her are 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
