Mrs. Ortiz was born on May 12, 1951 to Mrs. Josefina Ortiz in Edcouch, Texas.

Mrs. Ortiz is preceded in death by her mother: Mrs. Josefina Ortiz; her daughter: Guadalupe Ortiz Cabrera; her brother: Guillermo Ortiz.

Left to cherish her memories is her Loving Husband: Ruben Meza; her sons: Michael Cabrera, Ramiro Ruiz, Mario Ruiz, Jaime Ruiz; her daughter: Josie Ortiz Cabrera; her brothers: Melecio Armando Ortiz, Raul Silva; her sisters: Maria H. Soto, Noelia Cavazos, Maria Elena Palacio and her grandchildren: Damian R. Ruiz, Aziel Anthony Ruiz, Karlos Ruiz.

Visitation for Mrs. Maria Cristina Ortiz is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
