Mrs. Vela was born on March 30, 1961 in Mercedes, TX. to Mr. Baldemar Vela & Ms. Maria Sofia Morales.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, and her sister Tina V. Cruz.
Maria Pilar Vela is survived by her loving husband Casimiro Ybarra, her son Pablo (Lupita) Aguirre Jr., her daughter Maria Aurora (Juan Manuel) Aguirre, her brothers; Alfredo Vela, Jose Angel Vela, Martin Vela, and Francisco Vela, her sisters; Sylvia Y. Herrnandez, Elvira V. Chavez, Juanita V. Turubbutiates, Amelia V. Uresti, her grandchildren; Michelle Castro, Juan Manuel Castro Jr., Miguel Castro, Melinda Castro, Mike Castro, Matthew Castro and Angelica Aguirre.
Visitation for Maria Pilar Vela is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco- Chapel of the Heavens. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy in Mercedes. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Donna.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
