Elsa, Texas - Maria De Jesus Torres, 96, passed away to be with the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Valley Grande Manor Nursing Home in Weslaco, TX.

Maria De Jesus Torres was born on September 21, 1923, in Mexico to Mr. Paschual Torres & Mrs. Josefina Ruiz Farias.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother: Francisco Torres, sisters: Francisca Torres, Petra Torres (Sister).

Maria De Jesus Torres is survived by her brother: Raul Castillo, her sisters: Austreberta Castillo and Elvira Benavides.

Visitation for Maria De Jesus Torres is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2020, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home -Chapel of the Angels.

Chapel service is scheduled for Maria De Jesus Torres at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 15, 2020, at Salinas Funeral Home in Elsa, TX. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, TX.

Due to the current limitations of Hidalgo County and the State of Texas, Salinas Funeral Home is only allowing up to 85 guest in our facility at a time, guest must comply with the social distancing of six feet of space between sitting and standing and must have a facial covering at all times while inside the building.
