Brownsville - Maria Alicia Rodriguez Vega, 62, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her residence in Brownsville.

Mrs. Rodriguez Vega was born January 29, 1959 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, daughter of Jose Rodriguez de Anda and Maria Vega Orozco. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Javier Torres; sons, Javier Torres, Evaristo Torres, Lucio Jose Torres, Ezequiel Torres, Josue Torres; daughter, Norma Sanchez; brothers, Victor Rodriguez, Rigoberto Rodriguez, Alejandro Rodriguez, Gonzalo Rodriguez; sisters, Sylvia Rodriguez and Martina Rodriguez. Also surviving her 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 3 pm to 8 pm with a rosary at 6 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 10 am with interment to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
