Maria D. Pecina

Weslaco - Maria De Los Santos Pecina, 92, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Knapp Medical Center.

Mrs. Pecina was born July 8, 1930 in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, daughter of Domingo Pecina and Josefa Ramirez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mariano Sanchez, a son, Feliberto Sanchez, a daughter, Andrea Sanchez, son-in-law Felipe Castillo and daughter-in-law Elvia Sanchez; her brother, Domingo Pecina; sister, Maria del Carmen Pecina and her parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Eleazar Sanchez, Mariano Sanchez Jr. (Remedios), Maria Luisa Sanchez, Jose Manuel Sanchez, Martin Sanchez (Maribel), Maria Guadalupe Dominguez (Alberto), Maria Magdalena Sanchez, Israel Sanchez, Marisa De Leon (Armando) and daughter-in-law Jesusa Sanchez. Also surviving her are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 9:00 am at Centero Misionerio Emmanuel Church in Weslaco, with interment to follow at Sacred Park Cemetery.
