Weslaco - Maria Evangelina Cagigal, 78, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at her residence in Weslaco.
Mrs. Cagigal was born July 25, 1945 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, daughter of Matias Garcia and Jovita Lopez. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Maricela Garcia Lopez and Norma Alicia Garcia Lopez.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Jorge Cagigal and MarcosCagigal; her brothers, Rolando Javier Garcia Lopez, Matias Garcia Lopez; sisters, Hilda Garcia Lopez Lopez, Tomasita Garcia Lopez, Jovita Garcia Lopez and Yolanda Garcia Lopez,. Also surviving her are 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
