Maria M. Salinas

Brownsville - Maria M. Salinas, 83, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Mrs. Salinas was born May 29, 1939 in Mexico. Daughter of Nicolas B. Medrano and Guadalupe Alaniz. She is preceded in death by her husband: Ovidio Salinas; her parents; daughter: Janie Camarillo; brothers: Ramiro Medrano, Raul Medrano, Nicolas Medrano; sisters: Celia Herrera and Lucinda Aldape.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Obie Salinas (Maribel), Norma Garcia (Robert), Oscar Salinas (Sandra), Omar Salinas (Cindy), Nelda Gutierrez (Mando), Vickie Garcia (Carlos), Pattie Moore (David), Frank Salinas (Diana), Danny Salinas (Jackie Montes), Marco Salinas; brother, Ramon Medrano; sisters. Margarita Manzano and Ninfa Medrano; son-in-law Gene Camarillo and her sister-in-law Caridad Salinas. Also surviving her 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10:00 am followed by interment at 11:00 am at Rose Lawn Burial Park.
