Brownsville - Matilde Gaona, 55, passed way Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Valley Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Gaona was born March 14, 1969, in Hidalgo County, Texas. Daughter of Victor Gaona and Carmen Cisneros Gaona. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Sergio Garcia; her sons Reynaldo (Corina), Jose Luis Sanchez (Tania) Sergio Garcia Jr. (Diana), Benito Sanchez; daughters, Janet Gaona and Ana Maria Sanchez. Also surviving her are 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
