Brownsville - Mauricio Mares, 50 passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
Mr. Mares was born June 6, 1972 in Brownsville, Texas, son of Santos Mares and Gloria Zamorano. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jose Santos Mares.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Luz M. Garcia Mares; his son, Mauricio Mares Jr; brothers, Jose Luis Mares, Eleazar Mares, Reynaldo Mares; his sisters, San Juana Mares and Daisy Mares. Also surviving him are numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 12 noon with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
