Brownsville - Maurilio Limas Medellin, 78, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Mr. Limas Medellin was born March 18, 1942 in Mexico, son of Raul Limas Gonzalez and Adelfina Medellin de la Cruz. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Martiniano Limas Medellin.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carmen Nunez Limas; his sons, Maurilio Limas Nunez (Yolanda), Jose Ovidio Limas Nunez (Josefina), Sergio Limas Nunez, Sigifredo Limas Nunez (Petra) Jorge Ignacio Limas Nunez (Aurora); daughter, Carmen Patricia Limas Nunez (Jorge); brother, Genaro Limas Medellin; sisters, Maricela Limas medellin, Guadalupe Limas Medellin, Anita Limas Medellin, Josefina Limas Medellin, Maria Antonia Limas Medellin, Blanca Estela Limas Medellin. Also surviving him are 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren,

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 4 p.m.to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Prayer Service at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Salinas Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery in Brownsville.
