Petra I. Ortiz

Brownsville - Petra Ortiz, 73, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Valley Bptist Medical Center.

Mrs. Ortiz was born in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, daughter of Herculano Ibarra Balderas and Apolonia Don Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cruz Ortiz; her parents, a daugher, Apolonia Ortiz; brothers, Angel Ibarra, Antonio Ibarra; sister, Maria Isabel Ibarra.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Gilberto Ortiz, Gerardo Ortiz, Jose Cruz Ortiz; daughters, Diana Ventura, Rebecca Ortiz, Lupita Ortiz; brothers, Ruben Ibarra, Angel Ibarra, Hipolito Ibarra; sisters, Ofelia Ibarra, Julia Ibarra, Margarita Ibarra and Maria de los Angeles Ibarr. Also surviving her 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 2 pm to 8 pm with a prayer service from 5 pm to 7 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville, Funeral chapel is scheduled for Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 9 a, with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
