Ramiro Fuentes

Elsa- Ramiro Fuentes, 90, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Sugarland, Texas.

Mr. Fuentes was born on September 24, 1934 to Mr. Gilberto Fuentes and Mrs. Estella Garcia in La Reforma, Texas.

Mr. Fuentes is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ernestina Muniz Fuentes; parents, Mr. Gilberto Fuentes and Mrs. Estella Garcia; his son-in-law, Richard Martinez; his brother, Juan Fuentes; his sisters, Aurora Aguirre, Andrea Fuentes; his granddaughter, Jessica Christine Aguilar and his great-grandson, Joey Medina.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Ramiro (San Juanita) Fuentes, Rudy Fuentes; his daughters: Imelda Martinez, Alma (Francisco) Meza, Johanna (Jesse Rojas) Fuentes, Balinda (Andy Morales) Fuentes; 19 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Fuentes retired from the State of Texas Department of Human Resources after serving 25 years. He was also a member of the Elsa Chapter- Knights of Columbus.

Visitation for Mr. Ramiro Fuentes is scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas.

The Fuentes family is grateful to Dr. Samuel Wang of Physicians at Sugar Creek- Memorial Herman and the staff at Houston Methodist Hospital in Sugarland, Texas for the care and attention given to Mr. Ramiro Fuentes.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
