Raquel Alvarado

Brownsville - Raquel Alvarado, 86, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Alvarado was born February 10, 1938, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. Daughter of Manuel Villarreal and Consuelo Vasquez Villarreal. She is preceded in death by her husband Edelmiro Alvarado and her parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Santos Alvarado Sr., Oscar Alvarado, Maria Amalia Alvarado, Raquel Alvarado, Edelmiro Alvarado, Leticia Alvarado, Blanca Estela Alvarado, Alfredo Alvarado and Santos Alvarado Jr. Also surviving her are 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per her wishes she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
