Regina Rivera

Brownsville - Regina Rivera, 72, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Rivera was born September 7, 1952, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas. Daughter of Herman Rivera and Esther Fernandez Rivera. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Jose Bocanegra Garcia and her parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Luis Enrique Rivera, Juan Jose Bocanegra Jr., Irma Martha Bocanegra; her brothers, Francisco Rivera, Javier Rivera, Jaime Rivera, Jesus Rivera, Arnulfo Rivera, Herman Rivera, Arturo Rivera and sisters. Maria Benita Rivera, Guadalupe Rivera, Margarita Rivera, Dora Alicia Rivera, Ninfa Esther Rivera, Griselda Rivera and Belia Rivera. Also surviving her are 8 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. A funeral chapel service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
