Roel Gutierrez de la Garza

Santa Rosa - Roel Gutierrez de la Garza, 72, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.

Mr. de la Garza was born January 16, 1950, in Ciudad Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Apolonio Gutierrez and Rosa de la Garza. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Liz Sandra Gutierrez, Yanira Gutierrez; his sisters, Amalia Gutierrez and Olga Garcia. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Roel Alejandro Gutierrez, Mark Anthony Puentes, Diego Baeza, Jared Baeza, Yaniree Gutierrez and Giliana Carbajal.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, April 1, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. AS per his wishes, he will be cremated.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
