Rogelio G. Polanco

Brownsville - Rogelio Garza Polanco, 86, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Polanco was born March 6, 1936, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. Son of Mauricio Polanco Guillen and Florinda Garza. He is preceded in death by his wife Maria Lina Polanco; son: Pedro Polanco and his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his children: Rogelio Polanco Jr., Francisco Polanco, Diana Polanco, Osvaldo Polanco, Esmeralda Odubassa; brothers and sister: Jorge Polanco, Juan Polanco, Eulogio Polanco, Salome Polanco, Felix Polanco, Cayetano Polanco, Jose Chavez Garza, Juan Chavez Garza, Elio Chavez Garza and Benito Chavez Garza. Also surviving him are 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 9:30 am at Templo Bethel in Brownsville. Interment will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
