Roman S. Gongora

Brownsville - Roman S. Gongora, 91, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at his residence in Brownsville.

Mr. Gongora was born February 28, 1931 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico son of Manuel Gongora and Brigida Sauceda. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Blanca Estela Acosta Gongora; sons, Hector Caballero, Herman Caballero, Manuel Gongora; daughters, Bianca Samaniego, Juanita Caballero; brother, Dionicio Gongora; sisters, Felicitas Gongora, Maria de los Angeles Gongora, Antonia Tomas. Also surviving him are 7 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8;00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Friday, September 9, 2022 at 12;"00 pm with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
