Weslaco- Rosa A. Contreras, 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Valley Grande Manor Nursing Home in Weslaco.

Mrs. Contreras was born on July 9, 1946 to Mr. Moises Alaniz and Mrs. Maria De Jesus Alaniz in Weslaco, Texas.

Mrs. Contreras is preceded in death her parents, Mr. Moises Alaniz and Mrs. Maria De Jesus Alaniz; her brothers, Moises Alaniz Jr.; her sister, Carmen Alaniz, Isabel Alaniz Webber, Raquel Martinez; her father of children, Fernando Guajardo Sr.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Fernando (Sonia) Guajardo Jr., Gregorio Guajardo; her daughter, Delilah (Ricardo) Tafolla; her brothers, Pablo Alaniz, Ruben Alaniz, Overlin Alaniz; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Rosa A. Contreras is scheduled for Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace. A Chapel Service is set for Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 10:00 am at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
