Rosario Ortega

Weslaco- Rosario Ortega, 69, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at McAllen Medical Center.

He was born on October 7, 1951 to Mr. Juan Ortega and Mrs. Soledad Valdez Ortega in Mexico.

Mr. Ortega is preceded in death by his wife: Lydia Gonzales Ortega; his son: Miguel Ortega and his siblings.

Left to cherish his Mr. Ortega's memories is his sons: Rosario Ortega Jr., Edward Gonzalez, Ismael Ortega, Luis Ortega; his daughters: Erica Ortega, Maria Ortega, Elsa (Jesus) Alaniz, Valeria Gonzales, Amanda (Rolando Garcia) Ortega; his brother: Angel (Josefina) Ortega and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ortega will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Visitation for Mr. Rosario Ortega is scheduled for Monday, July 19, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home Chapel of Angels, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mercedes, Texas. Interment will follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
