Brownsville - Rose Ann Ruiz, a dedicated educator for 30 years, passed away at the age of 57. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Rose Ann was a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan and had a love for fishing. Her dedication to her students, her Blue Jay family and her love for her family and friends will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband Daniel Ruiz Jr.; her parents Amparo Benavidez (Lorenzo Benavidez), Anacleto Lopez (Lupita Lopez); her siblings Elizabeth Lopez, Beatriz Reyes, Tetito Lopez and Joey Lopez; her children Francisco Vasquez III, Ann Marie Barreda, Samantha Rodriguez, Melissa C. Ray, and Daniel Ruiz III; her grandchildren Francisco Vasquez IV, Fernando Vasquez, Thomas Dean Vasquez, Brittany Nicole Rodriguez, Brigette Nicole Martinez, Julius Jude Barreda, Jocelyn Jayde Barreda, Emmanuel Rodriguez Jr., Sienna Rose Rodriguez, Scarlett Rae Rodriguez, Godric Ray, Sebastian Ray, Yuridia Del Angel and Jael Rivera; her great-grandchild Luna Nicole Rodriguez; and her cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
