Mrs. Gonzalez was born on March 2, 1964 to Mr. Juan Mercado and Mrs. Celia M. Mercado in Matador, Texas.

Mrs. Gonzalez preceded in death by her parents; Mr. Juan Mercado and Mrs. Celia M. Mercado and her son, Benito Gonzalez Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Benito Gonzalez; her daughters, Tomasa Rodriguez, Elva (Elliott Guilbe) Gonzalez. Ruby (George Huerta) Gonzalez; her brother, Juan Mercado; her sisters, Juanita Martinez, Josie Mercado, Maria Mercado, Angelita Mercado; her grandchildren, Joel A. Gonzalez, Leslie Gonzalez, Robert G. Rodriguez, D'Angelo Rodriguez, D'Andre Rodriguez, Alessa M. Guilbe, Aiden A. Guilbe.

Visitation for Mrs. Sandra Lee Gonzalez is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. A Chapel Service is scheduled for Friday, May 12,2023 at 1:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
