Sergio Alanis Garza

Brownsville - Sergio Alanis Garza, 77 passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Alanis Garza was born March 29, 1947 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Rafael Alanis and Maria Garza Alanis He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Francisco Alanis, Norberto Alanis and Jesus Alanis.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Leonor Garia de Alanis; his children, Sergio Alaniz Jr., (Vanessa), Claudia Patricia Maldonado (Jose), Jose Antonio Alaniz (Monica), Sandra, Liliana, Elizabeth, Adelaid, Jennifer and Jacqueline; his brother, Rafael Alanis and sisters, Estella Lopez and Emma Garza. Also surviving him are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. A funeral chapel service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 12:00 pm with interment to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
