Weslaco - Sofia Melissa Vega, 51, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Vega was born November 17, 1971 in Pharr, Texas, daughter of Rogelio Martinez Sr. and Eva Rodriguez Martinez. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Noe Martinez (Alicia).
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Eliazar Vega; her daughters, Jacqueline Vega, Alejandra Vega; brother, Rogelio Martinez Jr. (Noelia); sisters, Ruth Garcia (Juan), Alma Palomares (Mando), Alicia Hernandez; 5 grandchildren. Also surviving her are her loving cat companions, Carmelo and Grayson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
