Tomasa Gonzales

Elsa- Tomasa Gonzales, 99, went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2022 at her residence in Elsa.

She was born on February 1, 1923 to Mr. Tomas Gonzales and Mrs. Maria de B Gonzales in Mercedes, Texas.

Mrs. Gonzales is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tomas Rodriguez; her daughter, Gloria R. Ramirez; her sisters, Florina Gonzales, Guadalupe Gonzales, Maria Gonzales, Ambriosa Gonzales; her daughter-in-law, Diana Contreras.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Rey (Maria) Zavala, Juan (Diana) De La Rosa, Ricardo Contreras; her daughters, Guadalupe (Galo) Tijerina, Flor Estela Ruiz, Diana (Dean) Smith; her daughter-in-law, Francisca Rodriguez; her nieces, Antonia Briseno & Nena Cruz; 26 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Ms. Tomasa Gonzales is scheduled for Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Elsa. Visitation will continue on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
