Velia Rita Alonzo

Elsa- Velia Rita Alonzo, 74, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She was born on April 29, 1947 to Mr. Nemecio Alonzo and Mrs. Petra Alonzo in Mexico.

Mrs. Alonzo is preceded in death by her parents; her sister: Maria Guadalupe Guillen.

Left to cherish her memories is her sons: Jose J. Alonzo and Jose E. Deleon; her daughters: Petra B. Alonzo, Josefina DeLeon & Rebecca De Leon; her brother: Jose Jesus Alonzo; her sister: Rosa Maria Fondon; and numerous grandchildren and  seven great grandchild.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
