Cecilia Coronado

Brownsville - Cecilia Coronado, 79, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Coronado, 79, was born August 7, 1942 in Mexico, daughter of Juan Jose Coronado and Guadalupe Castaneda. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alberto Alvares; her parents and her brother Crisforo Coronado.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Juan Coronado, Jesus Montemayor, Mario Montemayor, Arturo Montemayor, Andres Hinojosa; daughters, Rosa Elia Coronado, Lydia Montemayor, Soraida Alvarez; brother, Cristobal Coronado. Also surviving her are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 1 pm to 8 pm with a 6 pm prayer service at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
