San Benito - Santos Valdez Sr., 87, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 at his residence in San Benito.
Mr. Valdez was born November 1, 1935 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Loreto Valdez and Catarina Trevino. He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Mendiola Valdez; a son, Rodolfo Valdez and his parents.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Maria del Carmen Valdez, Edelmiro Valdez, Juana Valdez, Enedelia Valdez, Santos Valdez Jr. Isabel Valdez, Alma Leticia Valdez, Catalina Valdez, Irene Valdez; his brother, Inderso Valdez. Also surviving his are 45 grandchildren, 98 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday,January 4, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home in Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. A prayer will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at La Paloma Cemetery in San Benito.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
